Payroll Specialist


Senior Payroll Administrator for a distributor in Farmingdale, New York.


  • Process multi-state weekly and bi-weekly exempt/nonexempt payroll for over 2,000 employees
  • ADP Custom reporting/analysis of miscellaneous reports for accounting, HR and/or operations
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
  • Payroll Adjustments (retro pay calculations)
  • Run time card reports to verify over time and exceptions
  • Respond to all employee inquiries regarding payroll and time & attendance and serve as the point of contact for providing information to employees and managers on payroll matters, tax issues, and withholdings
  • Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, and deductions.
  • Work with accounting to reconcile payroll; GLI interface knowledge
  • Process garnishments with multiple orders in place; complete understanding and determination of orders priorities
  • Review new hires & terminations in the system for accuracy
  • Calculate and process manual checks
  • Review and approve monthly ADP bills

Working hours: 8:30 AM – 5:30 AM


  • Process ACA reporting and review 1095-C & 1094-C forms
  • Preparation of templates for import (CSV delimited)
  • ADP E-time a Plus
  • Process monthly commissions and bonuses
  • Process payroll, workers comp and 401K audits
  • Process W2 forms
  • eTime timekeeping
  • Organize work, set priorities and meet critical deadlines




  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates an understanding of multi-state weekly and bi-weekly exempt/nonexempt payroll policies and procedures
  • Advanced Excel Knowledge
  • Strong Math and basic accounting principals
  • ADP workforce now V.18

Salary: $70,000 – $72,000 per year
